Winter Storm “Pax” Blankets Asheville in Snow

Over the past 48 hours, winter storm “Pax” has covered the southeast in a thick blanket of snow and ice. Fortunately for Asheville, snow has been much more prominent and transformed the town into a winter playground for those wanting to explore it’s hills and streets (myself included). Last night downtown Asheville was largely abandoned except for the adventurous bipeds, their mascots, and various forms of alternative transportation…sleds, skis, snowboards, and inner-tubes.

Asheville Celebrates Latin Culture at Fiesta Latina

The annual Fiesta Latina festival took place yesterday in downtown Asheville at Pack Square Park. The celebration featured entertainment, music, food, dance classes and more. The Latin-fusion group Xperimento headlined the event and Whitney Moore and Montuno finished out the evening with sultry salsa.
